Jaxson's 1st pair of Nike's

Jaxson received his first pair of Nike's way before he was born. I think it was right after we found out that we were having a boy. They are super cute and he looks rather handsome in them. I sure it is only the first of many Nike's for his little feet.

Alexa loving on her baby brother.

Sitting up like a big boy.

Aren't they cute? I love them!!

Our sweet little Jaxson currently at 4 1/2 months weighs 14 lbs. 13 oz. (38th percentile) and he is 25 1/4 inches long (52nd percentile). He smiles alot unless it is the evening hours. I guess that is his "serious" time. He will talk your ear off. He is eating some fruits and vegetables and loves everything about food (my kind of kid). He loves to be talked too and loves to be snuggled. We love our new little addition!

Johnny Jump Up

We got the Johnny Jump Up out for Jaxson the other day and I don't know that he really has it figured out. He just stared at us for a minute and then he finally played for a bit. It is too cute to see him in it. It still is a little too big for him, but I am sure soon enough he will be jumping all over the place.

Lava Trip July 2010

Our friends, The Ackley's, were in town from Marco Island, Florida this passed weekend. We were able to meet up with them in Lava and enjoy a day of swimming.

Alexa testing out one of the water slides.
Alexa jumping off of the diving board. Underneath the diving board it says, 10ft. Yay, that makes me just a little nervous.

Nice form...

Jaxson just relaxin'

"Look at me, Mom!"

Swimming like a fish...

Our girls took swimming lessons again this summer during the month of July for two weeks. Their lessons were out at the Bailey Creek Swimming Pool. Avery is getting a little more comfortable in the water and getting Alexa out of the pool is an act of Congress at times. She loves to swim and it getting pretty good at it. Alexa started out much like Avery has, afraid to do anything in the water and spending most of her time on the stairs. So, hopefully Avery will eventually come out of her shell and enjoy the water as much as Alexa does. I am afraid of water myself so it is very important to me that my girls don't turn out like me and learn to swim and enjoy water.

Look, Avery is swimming!

Alexa and A.J. killing some time before their lesson starts.
Avery receiving instruction from her teacher along with the other kids.

Alexa making sure that Avery is doing okay.

Alexa and Jaycee taking a breather from some swimming.

Alexa practicing her breast stroke. She always looked away from me everytime I tried to take her picture. She is the one in the middle.

Hogle Zoo 2010

Our trip to Hogle Zoo this year was hot to say the least. But, we survived!! We lucked out this year Santa was even at the zoo.

The girls on the train ride.

Jaxson is real excited about his train ride.

Hallie and Remie in some fancy new hats.

A quick family picture.

A little family joke... There is a monkey at the Hogle Zoo named Eli, as in Uncle Eli. We didn't get to see him this year but we did find a picture of him. We had the girls point at him so we could take a picture with "Uncle Eli."

Christmas in July. Avery's second time sitting on Santa's lap. That would be the second time in her 4 1/2 years of life. She has been deathly afraid of the the jolly old man for a few years, now.

Standing on a scale to see how much they weigh all together...975lbs. WOW!!

Jaxson enjoying the miserable temperatures.

This picture kills me. I didn't really notice Alexa's face until I had looked at this picture a few times.

Jaxson's 1st time Swimming

Of course if you stay in a motel, you have to go swimming. After our day at Lagoon, the girls want to go swimming really bad. This was Jaxson first adventure in a swimming pool and I think that he liked it. He eventually fell asleep in my arms.

Jeff and his "mini-me", minus the facial and chest hair, Jeff Junior.

Our 1st Trip to Chuck E. Cheese

Our first trip to Chuck E. Cheese was a success!!! We, Jeff and I included, had a great time! We didn't try their food this trip but we enjoyed plenty of games.

Alexa and Avery with their prizes.

$15 worth of fun...

Lagoon 2010

Every summer for the last few years, we have taken our girls to Hogle Zoo/Salt Lake for a little weekend getaway. Last summer when were coming home, the girls asked if next year we could go to Hogle Zoo on day and Lagoon the next. So, this was the year for Lagoon and our girls were so excited. We invited my family to come along with us.

Alexa, Rylie, and Avery on their very first ride at Lagoon.

Avery kind of got the giggles. The ride would tickle her belly and make her laugh. It was pretty cute.

Doesn't this look like fun??

Alexa, Rylie, and Sydnie seemed to enjoy themselves.

Waiting in line for this really cool new ride. I am not sure of its exact name, but we called it the dragon ride. It was really fun and it turned out to be Avery's favorite.

Avery and Jeff on the Bat. Another favorite for my kids. I think Alexa rode it 3 times.

This is the happy log...

This log wasn't so happy. Avery absolutely hated this ride!!! She did not want to get wet. So sorry, Avery!

Rattlesnake Rapids...Grandma Joy would only ride if she didn't get wet. Good luck with that Grandma.

Not too wet, yet...

Oh, it barely missed her...Alexa and Jeff not so lucky!

A little lunch between rides.

Little Jaxson enjoying his first trip to Lagoon.

Avery, Rylie, and Sydnie on the bumper cars. Once again, Avery got the giggles.

Alexa preparing her next move.

Remie and Hallie waiting while everyone else is on the White Roller Coaster.

The smart members of the family watching the not-so-smart members ride the Catapult. Yikes!! That ride is nuts!!

Courtney and Nate on the Catapult right before they messed their pants and said a few swear words. Seriously, that ride is probably the scariest thing I have seen. I am sure glad Courtney and Nate are brave.
