Awwww...Candlelight Dinner with Our Valentines!!

The kids look forward to this night every year and so do I!! I enjoy decorating for our Candlelight Dinner and buying each of the kids a little something special. I would have to say that it has become my favorite holiday!! This year we had Chicken Parmesan, green salad, french bread, chocolate covered strawberries, and Cran-Raspberry punch with heart-shaped ice cubes. It was delicious! It always turns out to be a special night with our special Valentines!

Our heart-shaped ice cubes...so fun!

Happy Anniversary to US!!!

Jeff and I celebrated our 12th Anniversary on January 2nd. I seriously can't believe that it has been 12 years. It seems like we have only been married for a couple years. We have had a great marriage filled of ups and downs and tons of blessings. What have we accomplished in 12 years? We bought a house...a real fixer-upper with lots of charm and just as many problems. We have endured termites, cracked foundation, plumbing problems, and well for lack of better words, no space. We have out grown our little fixer-upper. Maybe that's why we are such a close family. We really have no other choice! We have made it through a kitchen rennovation. And, Jeff has made it through 3 pregnancies. What an amazing accomplishment as I can be rather difficult even when I am not pregnant. We have 3 beautiful children and have been blessed beyond measure. I love Jeff with all my heart and can't imagine sharing my life with anyone else. He is an amazing father and husband. Plus, he is easy on the eyes!! He is hilarious, clever, smart, outgoing, motivating, an awesome cook, a hardworker, honest, and perfect for me! I love you, Jeff and I can't wait to spend the next 12 years with you!

I promise...We didn't skip Christmas

Christmas is always a 2 day event for us. We have Christmas Eve dinner at my parents house. Christmas morning we spent at home. After that, we venture to my parents for Christmas with them and then out to the Horsley's for Christmas with them. We are usually exhausted by the time the day is over. But, it is all worth it. Our kids get to see all their grandparents and spend time with all of their cousins.

Christmas Eve night...new p.j.'s!!!

Alexa's Playing Basketball

Alexa started basketball about a month ago. Last year, they worked on the fundamentals only. This year they are actually playing games. Alexa has grown a lot in the last few weeks. At the beginning she wasn't really interested. She is pretty reserved and not too aggressive. She is learning everyday and someday were hoping that she will have some sweet basketball skills!
When Alexa and I were looking through these pictures, she said "oh, those are the pictures of the game that we got our butts kicked by Yamauchi's team." Too funny!

Oh, here is Alexa's handsome coach...Jeff is helping coach her team this year. It's quite a change from High School Athletics.

Some of Alexa's team-mates and good friends. She has a bunch of really sweet girls on her team.

Did I mention that we beat Grace?

Brrrrrr...Ice Fishing

Jeff took our girls and met our brother-in-law, Ryan, and his girls near Malad for some ice fishing on Christmas Eve. Ice fishing is crazy to say the least. But, Jeff and the girls love it. There must be something about getting up super early to go sit on a large slab of ice and FREEZE that appeals to them!! I haven't yet found the excitement of it.

They must have got up earlier than the sun!

Sydnie, Avery, Alexa, and Rylie

Ryan and Syd realing in a fish...like father, like daughter. Sydnie loves doing anything with her dad that involves that outdoors.

Jeff with his catch. I think this was the morning he forgot an important article of clothing while ice fishing...a coat!!!

The happy fishermen and fisherwomen...

Sue's Christmas Dance Recital

Our girls had their annual Christmas Dance Recital back in December. They did a great job. They are both such beautiful dancers and we are always so proud of their dancing ability. Here are a few pictures before they danced. The pictures of them actually dancing never turn out very good anyway.

Happy little dancers...

Alexa with a couple of her friends, Cedar and Abby.

Avery with her buddy, Kendall.
