Swimming Lessons 2009

Swimming lessons were held during the first two weeks of July at the Bailey Creek Swimming Pool. This was Avery's 1st year and Alexa's 4th year. Alexa is a little fish while Avery is more comfortable to hang on to the side or sit on the steps. Avery eventually got a little more comfortable in the water.

Our 4th of July Festivites

Our 4th of July is usually a fun and tiring day. This year was no different. We usually start the day with the 4th of July Fun Run. This year's theme was "Running for Robert." Jeff runs every year and Courtney and I walk. It was a really neat experience. A lot of people came out to support the Clark family. There was over 370 runners/walkers. This was definitely an all time high of participants. Sorry, we didn't take any pictures. I am not really sure that you wanted a visual of us (Jeff and myself) attempting any excerise as we are horribly out of shape. After our Fun Run, it's to the parade we go. The parade starts with the "Kid's Race."

She took dead last which is something Jeff wasn't used to. This year she ran like a runner!! She didn't really need her dad. We are so proud of our little runners!

In this picture, I had one request "everyone smile." My dad was struggling. So, Alexa helped him out a little.

Jeff thinks he is funny. He is always taking picture of me doing strange things. Maybe I had something in my teeth. Who knows? Don't we all look so happy to be there?

It was such a fun day for the girls. After the parade was over, we all headed to Logan to see the sweet little twins and Kim. Rylie and Sydnie were so happy to see their mom and dad after two weeks with Grandma and Grandpa.

Foam in the Park

On July 3rd, Soda Springs always has "Foam in the Park." This consists of fire trucks spraying foam all over the kids. It is a big hit in Soda Springs. The kids love it. Jeff took the girls this year along with our two little neices, Rylie and Sydnie. It was also Jeff's first year at "Foam in the Park." He thought it was pretty neat.

For a Father's Day gift for Jeff, we took his truck to Pocatello to get a Rhino Lining put in it. The girls and I were forced to waste 4-5 hours of the day. So ,we decided to go to the movie "Up." It was in 3-D so we got these hot sunglasses as a little souvenir (I had to pay extra because it was a 3-D movie and there was no way I was giving these awesome shades back.)

The TWIN GIRLS are here!

My sister had her twins on the 4th of July. They were a little bit of a surprise. They ended up being six weeks early. Hallie Grace was born at 4:05 am and Remie Ryan was born at 4:08am. Hallie was 4 lbs. 1 oz. and Remie was 4 lbs. 7 oz. They are still in the NICU but they are doing great. They are already drinking from bottles. They are so adorable. I think that they look just like Rylie and Sydnie did when they were babies. I have only got to see pictures of them because they won't let anyone in except Ryan and Kim and grandma's and grandpa's. Hopefully, they will get to come home soon. My girls are just dying to see their new cousins. Congratulations, Ryan, Kim, Rylie, and Sydnie!

Jackson Hole Camping Trip

We went camping this year June 25th-June 28th. We camp at East Table Creek campground between Alpine, Wyoming and Hoback Junction. My parents usually go for two weeks but we have to work for a living. So, we try and sneak up for a few days. I love it! It is fun and relaxing. We always have a great time with my family and my kids love camping with Grandma and Grandpa.

I guess I should start with the most important event of our camping trip. We usually pick a night and go to the Bar J Wranglers. Jeff is a trooper as I am madly in love with Brian Humphrey. Jeff doesn't really care too much on going to the Bar J's. But he goes every year and lets me drool all over myself while I watch Brian sing. ( I am really not in love with him, he just looks really nice in his wranglers. His face isn't too bad to look at either.)

I finally figured out why I ruin every picture that I am in. And I don't even have to try. I got it from my dad. (Notice the piece of popcorn in his nose.) I took quite a few pictures of these two but they just couldn't get it together. It is pretty funny, though!

Rylie and Sydnie by the Snake River. These two were great little girls. They stayed with my mom and dad for two weeks so my sister Kim could rest before she welcomed her twins into the world. They missed their mom and dad like crazy, but were little troopers the entire time. We had a lot of fun with them.

And this is the "Horsley Hilton." We don't have the luxury of camping in a trailer, so we bought a large tent. It even has front porch. The second day that we were camping it poured and poured on us. So, we had to run into Alpine to buy a tarp large enough to cover our tent because our rain fly was completely saturated. Then after we got the tarp hooked up we had to take all of our bedding into Jackson to the laundry mat to dry it. This is the "poor white trash" picture of our tent after the rainstorm was over. We love our tent!

Floating the river was cold!!! We put Alexa and Rylie with my dad and Courtney for the river trip. That was the best idea I had all day. Alexa and Rylie sang and giggled the entire 8 miles.

Jeff and I got the two quiet ones. Sydnie and Avery rode with us. Avery doesn't like the river at all and we hit some pretty good rapids right after we put our boats in. It took her a while to warm up. Obviously, she was still pretty mad in this picture.

I think she was trying to catching some bugs or something. Last year she fell asleep while we were floating the river.

We had a great time. It was nice to get away and relax. Thanks mom and dad for putting up with us! You always make it a great trip!
